Each year the weather around Joe's Pond is a favorite topic of conversation. As winter drags on and we all get cabin fever, we long to be able to get back to vacation land by the pond and enjoy the outdoors. This area in the North East Kingdom of Vermont can be very muddy and even still frozen well into the spring. When it finally does thaw, everyone celebrates and can even enter to win based on the date they think the ice will be out. This one was taken on May 4, 2019, but the ice was officially out on my birthday, April 25th! I didn't win the contest, but will be entering now that they sell tickets online.
